Core competencies are developed covering abilities that will define success for every member of the organization and are specific to each employees role, detailing precisely what results are expected from them.
Once the competencies
are completed, every employee in your organization will know exactly what
performance is expected from them to grow within the organization. Expectations
will not be disputable at evaluation time. When evaluations are conducted,
employees and managers won't get bogged down in discussions of whether
or not a specific behavior is important. The focus instead will be shifted
to a discussion of how well the employee met expectations and how those
expectations might change in the coming year.
